Arriving at the port, after 10 minutes walk, the coastal road to the beach “Livadia” will bring you to our accommodation. The location gives the visitor the opportunity to be near the center of Parikia, in taverns and other touristic places. At the same time, “Hotel Eleftheria” has been built in quiet streets, far away from the noise and intense mobility of the center. “Livadia” beach, just 2 minutes walk, is the main beach of Parikia. Here, island visitors can find umbrellas, sunbeds, organized beach bars and many water sports options. At the same time, the whole coastline offers a great variety of taverns with many different types of cuisine.
Parikia (or Chora) is the largest settlement on the island with 3,000 inhabitants. During the summer, the population doubles and life becomes more vivid with the streets filled with crowds of tourists from all over the world. The center of Parikia is the port and the central square. But for travelers things are quite different, as the heart of tourism beats in the old town. There are picturesque little streets, unique shops, restaurants, taverns and bars. Also, in the old town you will find the famous castle of Parikia, where today a part of it is preserved. That place is considered one of the best places in Parikia to enjoy the sunset. In Parikia, apart from Livadia, there are many more beautiful beaches, such as Krios and Marcelo. These beaches have endless sandy coasts and clear blue waters while at the same time, on days with strong winds, in these areas due to their location the weather is not as intense as other beaches on the island. In case you do not have your own means of transport, on the island there is a well-organized bus network, with frequent itineraries to Naoussa, Lefkes and the busiest beaches of the island.
